Say a little prayer for me...
I sat at my desk this morning, just working on some reports. It was an ordinary morning at work. I made myself a cup of coffee and I worked away. Nothing special was happening, other than the fact that I was alive and blessed to see another day. Now that is always something special.
So as I worked, an e-mail came through on my phone. I opened it and as I read it, I cried tears of joy. It was feedback I had been waiting on for two months and it was worth the wait. As tears ran down my face, I looked up and said ‘Thank You Lord’. This is only the first phase of a very long process, but with hard work and help from Him, I made it through that phase. The foundation phase. The first step. And it gives me courage and motivation to continue going. It gives me the will power to continue on this journey.
I wish I could share more with you all, but at this point, I am unable to. I just thought I would ask you to say a little prayer for me in your free moments. Those moments when you have nothing to do, or in those moments when you pray for your loved ones, maybe you could include my name too. It would mean the world to me. They say prayer changes things right?
Today, I realized that we underestimate God and His timing. When people say God’s timing is perfect, we do not fully comprehend it. As mortals, we are impatient, imperfect and we want things done when we want them to be done. We get upset when they do not happen as we wish and then we blame Him for not allowing it to happen. But He knows what is good for us. He knows what we can handle and when we can handle it. He shapes us into that special being that can take on challenges, even when we think we are unable to. He knows when we are not ready and He also knows when we are. Maybe I am ready. Maybe my time has come to take on another challenge. I just need to believe in myself like He does. I need to put in the work and trust Him to carry me through.
I know today’s post has probably confused many of you with my cryptic messages and I apologize for that, but I am just admiring His works. And I am sure, in your own way, many can relate. There are many ordinary days that start off with ordinary mornings, until something happens that makes you smile and cry tears of joy. Those are little miracles from God, reminding us that He is still looking out for us, even when we have forgotten Him.
Try not to forget Him today. Thank Him for your little miracles.
And please do not forget to say a little prayer for me J
Take Care
